Abstract
Objectives: This study was carried out to examine the effect of KanghwalSokdan-tang(Qianghuoxuduan-tang) on anti-inflammatory, analgesic and anti-febrile activities at adjuvant-induced arthritic rats.

Methods: KanghwalSokdan-tang(Qianghuoxuduan-tang) was administered to rats with Adjuvant-induced arthritis and then the rate of increase of paw edema, WBC, RBC, Hemoglobin, ESR, CRP, Protein, albumin, Globulin, GOT, GPT and SOD were measured. KanghwalSokdan-tang(Qianghuoxuduan-tang) was administered to rats with sample group and then writhing syndrome, threshold, recto-temperature and partial-temperature were measured.

Results: 1. It was recognized that KanghwalSokdan-tang(Qianghuoxuduan-tang) constrains increment of Paw Edema effectively.
2. It was recognized that KanghwalSokdan-tang(Qianghuoxuduan-tang) decreases WBC, ESR, SOD and CRP, Globulin were recognized more effectively.
3. It was recognized that KanghwalSokdan-tang(Qianghuoxuduan-tang) increases albumin and Hemoglobin was recognized more effectively.
4. It was recognized that KanghwalSokdan-tang(Qianghuoxuduan-tang) has an anti-febrile effect about the febrile of a joint effectively.
5. It was recognized that KanghwalSokdan-tang(Qianghuoxuduan-tang) has an analgesic effect about the pain and the ncreasing Pressure pain threshold of the paws was recognized more effectively.

Conclusions: According to the above results, it can be concluded KanghwalSokdan-tang(Qianghuoxuduan-tang) showed the treatment effects at adjuvant-induced arthritic rats and on the analgesic effect about the pain at acetic acid- induced mice. It is suggested that it should be studied and developed more throughly for the clinical use.
